As the NHRA Competition Eliminator National Champion for 2007, the Aragonas know the importance of crankcase vacuum. The amazing thing is the vacuum pump they used throughout their Championship year was a 6-year-old unit originally purchased in 2002 and has never been rebuilt!

With five divisional wins and a win and R/U on the national level Frank Jr. amassed a total of 696 points, the most in Competition Eliminator history under the new points system. Tuned by Frank Sr. with engine services provided by uncle Joe of the International Motor Shop the Aragonas were the team to be most reckoned with in 2007.

They currently hold the NHRA National E.T. record in G/EA and the E.T. and MPH record in F/ED with the team car driven by Steve Szupka, which also utilizes a Star Machine vacuum system.

The family affair approach to racing by the Aragonas is as evident as anyone. It has been our pleasure to work with them over the years (and work hard they do). We are proud of their success in 2007 and wish them the best of luck in 08’.
